We are seeking to hire for multiple Packaging Lead positions at our manufacturing plant site in Bessemer City, North Carolina.
The available shifts for the positions include both1st and 2nd shift.
1st Shift:
Monday through Saturday 6:
00am-4:
30pm $16.
05/hr.
- $23.
68/hr.
2nd Shift:
Monday through Saturday 4:
00pm-Close $16.
45/hr.
- $24.
08/hr.
Close time for 2nd shift can vary from 12:
00am-3:
00am.
This position requires a passing drug screen with negative results.
Leads and directs between 50-60 hourly employeesAssure paperwork is complete, correct, and timelyFollow schedule sequence, ensuring on-time starts and efficient changeoversMonitor film, carton and rework yieldsMonitor changeover and machine downtimeAchieve schedule attainment within prescribed standardsAchieve accuracy on harvest estimateMonitor breaks and lunchesTrain employees to meet operating proceduresAssure baggers are meeting standards, such as uptime efficiencies, bags per minute, and % of standardConduct tailgates and lead exercise routines at shift start each dayAny and all other duties assigned by your SupervisorRequired SkillsSKILLS:
Must have good communication and computer skills.
Must be a self-starter and possess initiative.
Must be able to lead and direct.
ADDITIONAL:
Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment.
Required to work independently and with limited supervision.
Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWork is performed in a cold environment with an average temperature of 34 degreesFahrenheit.
Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present.
Work surfaces and floors may be wet.
Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
unassisted up to 1/3 of the workday, and 6 lbs.
overhead as job demands.
Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required.
Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area.
Required Experience
Experience:
Knowledge of production processes is required.
Previous experience in a food processing facility is desired.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONMust have HS Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to perform required tasks.
