38 an hour We are seeking to hire for a Receiving Forklift Operator position at our manufacturing plant site in Bessemer City, North Carolina.
The candidate will work on our 2nd shift.
This position is responsible for operating a forklift to load, unload, move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.
2nd Shift Monday through Saturday 4:
00pm-Close $17.
38/hr.
Close time for 2nd shift can vary from 12:
00am-3:
00am.
This position requires a passing drug and alcohol screen with negative test results.
Drive and operate forklift Conduct equipment and inspect arriving trailers for possible contaminants Conduct daily inventories and traceability documentation and processes Check that the trailer's outside seal is not broken and that the temperature is within spec.
Complete required paperwork Unload trailers, weigh loads, and rotate raw materials according to FIFO Supply raw materials and packaging to production areas as required Be attentive to any foreign objects and damage to boxes or contents Able to work safely around equipment and machinery Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor Ability to work overtime as needed.
Some weekends are required.
Required Skills SKILLS:
Good oral communications skills.
ADDITIONAL:
Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment.
Required to work independently and with limited supervision.
Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is performed in a cold environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present.
Work surfaces and floors may be wet.
Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
unassisted up to 1/3 of the workday, and 6 lbs.
overhead as job demands.
Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required.
Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area.
Required Experience
Experience:
Previous experience and forklift license required.
A written and driving test will be conducted to determine experience level.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION HS diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
Must successfully pass fork lift certification.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
