Responsibilities:
Safety, Health, and Environment
Promote a strong belief that all incidents are preventable and that no job is worth doing that would risk the health, safety, or welfare of the plant employees or community.
Provide leadership to the site in all aspects of Responsible Care.
Promote SHE policies and practices through participations in the management team and through interactions with all employees.
Organizational Effectiveness
Lead the work developing strategies for organizational effectiveness.
Participate in the communication and implementation of organizational effectiveness initiatives and developments for all employees.
Assess training, development, and adult learning strategies and make appropriate recommendations.
Ensure effective implementation of performance management process.
Lead the work to maintain a Human Resource strategy consistent with short/long term business objectives.
Employee Relations
Effectively facilitate the resolution of employee issues.
Play a key role in coaching and counseling both employees and managers.
Establish and maintain a positive employee relations environment.
Demonstrate strong commitment to build supportive work environment.
Leads the development of employee communication programs and policies.
Provide leadership in recruiting, motivating and retaining diverse talent at all levels.
Work with supervisors to identify staffing needs and potential sources for qualified candidates.
Ensure positions are filled with the best talent available within our cost structure.
Manage the college-recruiting/intern process.
Lead the work of succession planning and talent management at the Bessemer City Site.
Staffing
Provide leadership in recruiting, motivating and retaining diverse talent at all levels.
Work with supervisors to identify staffing needs and potential sources for qualified candidates.
Ensure positions are filled with the best talent available within our cost structure.
Manage the college-recruiting/intern process.
Lead the work of succession planning and talent management at the Bessemer City Site.
Compensation
Manage local wage and salary administration including local surveys, structure recommendations, increase fund recommendations and wage and salary changes.
Ensure competitive and consistent pay practices, promotions and progressions based on internal and external data.
Legal
Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance (Department of Labor, Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, ADA, FMLA).
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Human Resources function. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university.
Qualifications:
Five (5)
years of experience in Human Resources. Prior HR experience in a manufacturing, chemical plant or similar environment is required.
Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people
Effective team player and networker
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Significant knowledge of HR policies, processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management), and talent management practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
