Project Coordinator (886)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To provide support to the Engineering Department, track purchase requests and purchase orders for all capital projects, conduct analysis of the Corporate Capital Expenditures Project spending for all Dole Fresh Vegetables facilities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Supports the Sr. Director, Engineering and Maintenance by maintaining their daily and weekly schedules.
Compiles and issues weekly reports for the Engineering Department.
Composes and distributes correspondence.
Prepares Regulatory agency reports and ensures deadlines are met.
Prepares in conjunction with requester visual and manual presentation material.
Request and track all purchase orders for Capital Projects
Maintain all Capital Project files, Purchase Orders w/ invoices and Excel capital spending spreadsheet.
Routes Capital Appropriation Requests for approval.
Prepares notes, correspondence and reports using appropriate PC programs.
Conducts bi-weekly capital project meetings and details all updates.
Produces meeting minutes for Engineering Department and disburses action items.
Maintains Departmental Safety records and publishes necessary reports.
Set-up travel arrangements for Sr. Director whilst adhering to best-value tickets and makes changes as necessary.
Works concurrently with Finance and Purchasing departments to developed monthly review of Engineering finances.
Works concurrently with Plant Controllers on capitalization of completed projects.
Track and maintain master excel spreadsheet of all capital projects.
Other related duties assigned.
Required Skills
SKILLS:
Ability to uphold confidentiality and maintain a strict business relationship with associates.
Must be knowledgeable in working with Windows programs such as Microsoft Office 2010 software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
Must have excellent planning and organizational skills.
Ability to undertake multiple tasks, manage changing priorities and meet deadlines without supervision.
Extremely reliable and detailed oriented.
Dynamic, hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, food-processing environment.
Required Experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
1-2 years working experience in a team environment with technical group or organization.
AA degree or equivalent and a minimum of one year working experience in a team environment with a technical group or organization

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
